| Training Program
The Nong Nooch Garden is committed to handing down its 40 years of gardening expertise to the next generation. One way is to set up a project on training program for students of vocational colleges all over Thailand.
In 1995 an agreement with the Department of Vocational Education was signed. The training and school-related work experience are offered to students of higher and lower vocational colleges in courses on ornamental horticulture, gardening and landscaping.
Each year the Garden can accept about 700 students to attend 7 one and two-month courses. The students receive free board and meals, including necessary welfare. A certificate of attendance is issued after the end of each course. Since 1995 more than 2,000 students have gone through the training program.
Another type of training is offered to university students of second and third year for unpaid 2-3 months work experience at every position available, especially in foreign languages, tourism, hotel management and accountancy.
